VOGUE WEDDING

DATELINE AT A VOGUE-FEATURED WEDDING CELEBRATION

Being asked to DJ the wedding of Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Denis Sulta was one of those rare bookings that sits somewhere between a celebration and a proper musical moment.

Set at the beautiful Dromquinna Manor, the entire weekend had an effortless energy — intimate, creative, and full of personality. It wasn’t a standard “wedding set” in any sense. It felt more like a curated weekend-long soundtrack where every part of the day had its own identity.

The celebration was later featured in British Vogue, which captured the atmosphere perfectly and reflected just how much thought had gone into every detail of the weekend.

For me, weddings like this are always about finding the balance between emotion and energy. I’ve never really subscribed to the idea of the stereotypical wedding DJ set — it feels dated. With the right guidance from the couple, it becomes about building something far more personal: bringing club energy into a setting that still feels elegant, meaningful, and true to the moment.

That’s usually where the fun starts for me — working with couples ahead of time to understand their taste properly. Not just the obvious choices, but the guilty pleasures, the cheeky vocal bootlegs, the tracks they might not always admit they love, but absolutely light up when they hear. Those moments are often what make a dancefloor feel real.

At this wedding, that approach made all the difference. The energy built naturally throughout the night, moving from live music into a DJ set that felt loose, fun, and completely in tune with the crowd. Nothing forced, just the right tracks at the right time, and a room full of people who were fully in it.

Once the dancefloor opened properly, it never really looked back. There was a real sense of freedom in the room — that mix of friends, family, and artists all just letting go together.

Seeing the celebration later featured in British Vogue was a really nice nod to the whole weekend. It captured the feeling of it being something a bit different from a typical wedding — still emotional, still personal, but with a proper sense of culture and music running through it.

A huge congratulations again to Saoirse and Hector, and thanks for letting me be part of such a special weekend.
