F1 MIAMI

DATELINE LIVE AT MIAMI F1 WITH HILTON & McLAREN

On May 5th 2025, I had the opportunity to fly out to Miami to DJ for Hilton & McLaren during one of the biggest weekends on the Formula 1 calendar — the Miami Grand Prix.

With McLaren taking over a section of South Beach, the atmosphere throughout the event was incredible. Over 1,000 fans came out to experience the showcase, with appearances from Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri and McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown, all helping bring fans closer to the world of Formula 1.

The event celebrated the evolution of McLaren racing, showcasing everything from original Formula 2 cars through to the latest Formula 1 models. Fans were able to get unbelievably close to the cars, making it a really immersive experience and giving everyone a chance to appreciate the detail, engineering and history behind the sport.

Under the Miami sun, I had the pleasure of providing the soundtrack for the event and bringing the Dateline energy to such a world-class showcase. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere across South Beach felt relaxed, exciting and full of anticipation ahead of race weekend.

Hilton were the hosts of the exclusive event at Bayshore, for Hilton Honors guests and corporate executives.

Throughout the event, guests were treated to live Q&A sessions around the cars and discussions ahead of the upcoming race weekend. Formula 1 hosts and experts walked fans through the latest developments to the cars, including tyre limitations, setup changes and how the incoming rain forecast could impact strategy heading into the Sunday race.

With no responsibilities until race day on Sunday, I thought it was only right to make the most of my time and explore Miami properly. So naturally, that led to dressing up and heading to the launch party for the brand-new Hilton Signia Hotel on Hollywood Beach, where Paris Hilton was DJing for the opening night.

What was meant to be an early night quickly turned into one of those classic Miami evenings, great music, lots of laughs and a few new friends along the way. Safe to say the next morning started with a slightly sore head as I grabbed my paddock club passes and headed over to the Hard Rock Stadium for the F1 Sprint and qualifying sessions.

A breakfast of champagne and lobster sounds amazing in theory… maybe not quite as much after a heavy night before. But by lunchtime we were back in the game and ready for an incredible day at the track.

Being in the Paddock Club was a full experience in itself. Our hosts Aston Martin were positioned right on the finish line, giving us unbelievable views across the circuit, with access to the paddock walk throughout the day. Between the food, drinks and atmosphere, everything felt world-class — and the racing definitely delivered, with McLaren taking the Sprint win and the crowd absolutely loving it.

The next day was race day, and I was back at the stunning beachfront Signia Hotel — this time behind the decks. Alongside the amazing Hilton & McLaren team, we created an immersive race-day experience for guests despite the heavy Miami rain outside. Originally the plan had been for a huge pool party, but the energy inside still carried the whole event and everyone made the most of it.

With all the official work wrapped up and a successful week of everything Miami and Formula 1, there was only one thing left to do — head to the legendary Club Space Miami to see Disclosure.

With the whole team together one last time, it turned into the perfect way to finish the trip. An epic night of music and good people that somehow ended at 9am the next morning.

What an experience.
